Grandma Romrell’s Pumpkin Bread

Pumpkin Bread 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

3 1/2 cups of flour

2 tsp  baking soda

1 1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp. nutmeg or 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

3 c sugar

1 c vegetable oil

4 eggs

2/3 c water

2 cups of pumpkin puree

1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix pumpkin, water, oil, and eggs. Pour into dry mixture and mix well.  Pour into greased loaf pans. Bake in 350 degree oven one hour and fifteen mintues or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before removing from pans.
